The approach focused on analyzing the patisserie's identity, traditional values, and market positioning. The goal was to develop a design that honors its heritage while introducing innovation.
This packaging project was developed for pastry Chef Philippe Tayac’s boutique in Nice, designed to match the prestige of his signature creation: the Exotic Pavlova. The concept is rooted in a dual cultural and gastronomic reference. The shape draws inspiration from Russian Orthodox church domes, a nod to the ballerina Anna Pavlova, while mimicking a traditional serving cloche to create a theatrical reveal.
The visual identity plays on the contrast between a white exterior, adorned with seed patterns echoing passion fruit, and an interior lined with yellow-orange marble. This internal motif references both the mango surprise at the heart of the dessert and the noble materials used in the boutique's architecture, creating an immersive and luxurious tasting experience.
